  • Kabir Shahani and Chris Hahn: Screw you and your great idea
    • Summary: The focus of our talk is two critical factors (in our opinions) of successful product development: letting go of your own ego, and not always pushing of fighting for your own ideas (i.e. how to listen to your customers). We will also talk a little bit about our product development process and how it’s worked for us, and Chris will go into some depth on best practices and tools that have worked for us.
    • Bio: Kabir Shahani and Chris Hahn are co-founders of Appature. They founded the company in January 2007, with a vision of delivering bleeding edge software that provides tremendous business value while still being easy and fun to use. Their flagship product, is a marketing-focused CRM suite that gives companies the tools to focus on their target customers, make more informed business decisions, and drive overall revenue while saving money on marketing campaign execution. Their approach in terms of both functionality and usability has been well received by the market, so much so that the company achieved profitability last year.
